COPS Monitoring Bulletin Newsletter #30

Haunted by GHOST SIGNALS? Ghost signals are received when an alarm system is mis-programmed to communicate signals under another customer's account number. These signals can cause false alarms, fines, and upset customers. Identifying and preventing ghost signals from haunting your customers was often a difficult task – until now! COPS' newly released ANI Block feature allows you to quickly tell us to ignore signals from a specific ANI/ caller ID (the originating number of the mis-programmed panel) for your customer's account. If you are experiencing ghost signals, you no longer need to re-program your customer's panel or wait for the other dealer to address the issue – simply contact Dealer Support and advise them of your customer's account number and the ANI value you want blocked, and the signals will then be ignored in the future! Please contact Dealer Support at 800.367.2677 x 1802 for more details.
