COPS Monitoring Bulletin Newsletter #24
Did you miss something? Electronic versions of past issues of the Bulletin are available online at: copsmonitoring.com/bulletin IS THE FIRST BILLING FROM US FOR NEW CELLULAR ACCOUNTS MORE THAN YOU EXPECTED? Third party signal transport fees and interactive services such as AlarmNet, Connect24, Telguard, Uplink, etc. are billed to you only after those services are billed to COPS. Because it usually takes a few cycles for the service providers to bill us the first time, it is very likely that you will only be billed for basic monitoring for the first few months and not for the additional services you selected. When COPS is eventually billed from the service provider, it is usually for more than one month. As a result, the first time you receive an invoice for the fees associated with 3rd party services, they will almost always be for multiple months. If you ever have any questions about your invoice, please contact our billing department. INCREASE RMR FROM YOUR EXISTING CUSTOMERS The beginning of the year is a good time to remind your customers to make sure their RP lists and passcodes are up-to-date. It is also a great time to increase your revenue by letting them know about available upgrades to their systems and value-added services such as your Private Label Subscriber Access and other interactive services you provide. Contact the marketing experts at SS&Si for some mailer ideas! Info at copsmonitoring.com/sssi Join COPSMonitoring at dealer appreciation nights during upcoming industry events In addition to dealer meetings, another way COPS Monitoring creates opportunities for face-to- face interaction is through Dealer Appreciation Events that coincide with industry trade shows. In 2013, COPS hosted Dealer Appreciation Events at ISC West in Las Vegas, ESX in Nashville, the Southeast Electronic Security Conference in Florida, and at ISC East in New York. COPS will once again be hosting appreciation events at each of the above shows in 2014, and several smaller events may also warrant impromptu gatherings. If you are attending an industry trade show and would like to meet with a COPS representative, please contact Betty Hudson at 800-367-2677 x 1256. Scheduled events are always online at copsmonitoring.com/events. Don't miss the Spring Dealer Meetings. Dates will be poste d at copsmonitoring.com/events. Dealers in Maryland watch a video promoting the competitive advantages of COPS Monitoring’s six hot redundant load sharing central stations. The video was produced without branding so COPS dealers can use it on their website. Making every interaction with your customers a positive one by representing your company with caring, friendly, and professional response when we’re needed most, is our primary focus at COPS Monitoring. However, you might be surprised that not every interaction is considered as “helpful” by your customers. For instance, repeatedly calling your customers over and over for the same condition (especially for service- related issues) may be considered an aggravation instead of promoting peace of mind and a positive image of your company. You don't want this to happen to you, which is why you should contact COPS Monitoring's newly createdActivity Analysis Team to perform studies of signal activity and pinpoint ways that COPS Monitoring can improve event handling for your unique account base. Hundreds of alarm dealers have already benefitted from this free service, which has reduced the number of unnecessary customer interactions nearly 10,000 times every month! Another added benefit is that the recommended changes typically improve customer satisfaction and often create the opportunity for more service revenue! What could be better than improved response, happier customers, and the opportunity for more service revenue? The team at COPS does all the work for you! For a free analysis of your signal activity, send an email to activity@copsmonitoring.com o r call 800-367-2677 x 1267. Want to deliver a better customer experience and reduce attrition?
